In the week of William Morris’ birthday, images here from our office outing (remember them?!) to his fascinating Cotswold home. An artist, designer, poet…..and an arts and crafts pioneer in whose footsteps we gently tread with many of our projects.
Built around 1600, Morris chose Kelmscott as his summer home and lived here between 1871 and 1896, describing it as “heaven on earth”, like it had “grown up out of the soil” and with “a sense of place being almost too beautiful to live in”. You’d have to agree!
