A group of single storey, redundant Cotswold stone barns near the village of South Newington were carefully converted to form a contemporary home. Carefully designed additions, maximisation of existing principle openings and the retention of open trussed roofs ensured the rural character was retained, without compromising the client's desire to create open plan living accommodation.

Entrance courtyard and private gardens were extensively landscaped to lend visual coherence to the overall barn group.
