Barn Conversion
This Grade II listed barn conversion sits at the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by pasture fields, open farmland and woodland. With public footpaths passing close to the property, the design focuses on preserving the site’s strong agricultural character and appearance from nearby viewpoints.
Internally, the barns undergo significant transformation. The central barn forms the main reception and dining space, retaining its full-height volume to showcase the original structure, while a studio rooflight brings natural light into the space. To the east, the original single storey cow byre is connected to the main barn to create adjoining accommodation and living space.
Overall, the scheme sensitively enhances the historic farmstead while minimising the impact on its rural setting.
