The works included significant re-ordering and refurbishment of an existing Cotswold stone cottage along with extensions to provide additional living accommodation.

 

The traditional extensions have been carefully designed to complement and enhance the original building and have been located to replicate former outbuildings.

 

A contemporary glazed single storey kitchen extension with sedum roof has been added to the south west elevation which extends into the sloping garden. The green roof is level with the raised garden which visually connects the garden with the house.

 

The refurbishment also includes a ground source heat pump to provide the latest in heat source technology and along with improvements to the building fabric, the cottage now meets the highest levels of thermal performance whilst minimising energy usage.

 

In addition, a new garage building and pool house have been constructed within the landscaped gardens.
